What’s the Name of Jesus?

March 22, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

Jesus said he built his house (church) on a rock. But before that he says that when two gather in his Name, you have the church or his body. So I want to dig into the Name. Is it a rock or is it a question, an open question? Is. the Name of Jesus a historical fact, something I’ve stored in memory as taught by my society/religion…But when two gaiters in his name, that is relationship, but what kind of relationship? The Name of Jesus as relationship is a non-judgmental, an unconditional relationship…like this one. What is the Name of Jesus before even Jesus was born, Jesus as a historical Jesus or the church?

When we dig into the landfill of names—Jesus is not this name, not this name..not this—we come to the ground of relationship that is Just This present moment. If this relationship is closed, it’s fixed by the known and my memory. If the relationship is open, then you have the living Name of Jesus before the known (names) were born.
