Repetition is the gateway to creativity. One repeats the truth until one digests the truth, chewing it over and over until it is swallowed and becomes part of your cells.
Spiritual truths are like Zen Koans. Logic will not understand them. A is A and A is also B at the same time in spiritual truths. A spiritual truth (scripture) is mean to drive you nuts, to make you leap beyond logic to a greater understanding that includes A and B.
The creative process: first there is chaos or dissonance of the parts and pieces of the whole. The drive of the Knower towards unity forces a leap or emptiness, a surrender, if you will, out of which a creative idea or new understanding is born or discovered. This single Idea feels like it is given, discovered, not caused by the past, yet the creative idea is dependent upon the past quotes, but not caused by them, but the single Idea is a brand new idea that has never existed before. The past cannot create something that never existed before; the past can only duplicate itself in new ways, pretending that it is creative.
