The sidewinder snake is another reason snakes are associated with the Goddess, who as life is waves of life, ups and downs. She is the verb, gods are the nouns. Like in Quantum, is the electron a wave or a particle. One can only perceive on or the other, yet the electron is both simultaneously. Perception creates the object’s definition; perception creates the wave or the partial, the god or the goddess, the head or the tai….but reality is both head and tail…one sidewinding snake that sloughs its skin, dying and being born each moment. Do we see death in the moment or life, pessimistic or optimistic.
Life is both pessimistic and optimistic as potential; we get to choose, but wisdom is the knowledge that no matter what the choice, the snake is still One. So when the reference is the One, instead of the choice of either/or, we are able in integrate reality on the go, referencing each choice to the One that is always Now.
The Now as Being is transcendent of choice and perception. When our reference is the transcendent One, any choice we make is Okay. When the head and the tail are one, there is no choice between the two. Whatever you choose is still the One.
If the One is God, then all choices create the One. If good (heads) and bad (tails) are One, then what can I choose that is not God or the One. This is the great libration. The One without a second includes me as my world, so there really is no choice between what I want and what the world wants. Thy Will be Done…it is one world, so I can choose heads or tails, for we have to choose, but it is always one snake, one world, one self. In this way, I am always choosing my Self. Which means I create myself each moment by dying to the old skin which is my past choices, and self.
