The Creative Choice. That is a choice that transcends or passes through the pair-of-opposites of either/or. We don’t know what that choice is because we oscillate between the two apparent choices. But when we realize that our apparent choices both create the same problem, that we are caught in a tape-loop, then the possibility of a Creative Choice happens, but only when we see through and through the futility of either/or logic and choice.
Either/or or On and Off thinking is never creative because it cannot image a greater whole that contains the either/or positions, both of which are valid but contradictory. All either/or choices divide a whole into two contradictory choices, each of which tries to solve a problem by negating its other half. But both choices are valid and stand alone, yet neither can be separated from the other. It like On and Off. Both positions or choices stand alone. It is either On or Off…but you cannot have one without the other.
So when you have ON, Off is the hidden but present background. And when you have ON, Off is the hidden and present background. You can’t have any foreground object without a background. Seeing the double-bind of choice creates the Creative Choice, or we have continue violence as the misperceived way out of the problem. Seeing is not a Choice.
Think about that. Do you choose to See. Do you choose to be Aware.
