The abuser (sexual or otherwise) steals the power of another by taking away their center, like a matador steals the power of the bull through the distraction of the cape. The cape keeps the bull off center by bait and switch. But bull thinks the matador is directly behind the cape. Like the magician the matador points the bulls attention to a false cause of his anger, thus turn gin the bulls anger against himself and exhausting it..where is killed and put out of his misery.
The serial sexual abuser is like the matador and the women are his bulls (the consort of the Goddess by the way.) The Bull is her sacrificial animal, and in real life the woman becomes the matador’s sacrifice. He slays them one after another in the ring of the world.
The bull/woman alone is powerless and can’t retrieve her stolen power. Her mind is split and turned against itself. But when the bulls unite in a herd, the matador is then powerless, and he is killed.
The bull with its horns of dilemma, the Paris of opposites of the phenomenal world is connected to the Goddess in mythology as her dying and resurrected son, the life in death and death in life of the phenomenal world. The bull is a sacrificial animal as the Goddess is the Goddess of sacrifice, the seasons dying to be reborn in the spring, the cycle of life and death, coming and going and the tides of the moon and crescent horn.
But the matador is phallic. He stands upright with his phallic sword. Not as powerful as the bull, how does he keep the bull off his spot, or center. When you get someone off their spot, you can throw them out of the ring (Sumo wrestling). The Matador steals the bull’s power by taking away his Spot.
The sexual aggressor creates a compulsive ritual in which he steals the power of the goddess by taking away her Spot, throwing her off balance and divided in her own mind. When the mind loses its center or spot, it is divided against itself and anyone can push you over.
All combat is the attempt of one or the other combatant to get the other off his Spot. When both sides don’t give up their spot the combat can go on for years, like WWI. Marriage is the great battle field for one’s Spot or center, and when the Male loses his center to the female, he will suddenly resort to violence to regain it. When there is love in relationship, the vicious fight for center is transformed into a virtual circle where each center it enhanced. In one cycle you go towards violence, in the other towards ecstasy. The mythic symbol for the virtuous circle is the Vesicle Pisces
