Corona, the end of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum

March 19, 2020 by admin Leave a Comment

It’s time for the Dems and Libs to stop fighting in the back seat. Mother Corona is now driving the car. For the first time since WWII, America has a common enemy that affects everyone, and not just a class of people. Mother Nature (the virus) has come to restore balance.

Bi-partisanism is no longer a promised land but a present imperative. The feedback loop of the past 50 years has been kept going by each partisan blaming the other for being not partisan. The spokes have fought each other for control of the wheel. Now the axis of the wheel is Carona instead of a partisan president.
The conflict between the two yolks of a single egg is evident in the external world but indicative of a split in our ways of viewing reality itself. The material world reflects our mental world. The world is the way we perceive it, and if we are pi-polar, then we see the world as a conflict between two equal but opposite poles that are mutually dependent. The two yolks (or views) are dependent upon the single egg or America.

There can only be One America. The Civil War decided that. But this external civil war of the yolk evolved into a mental war. The exterior world is One. We all shop at the same Walmart, but the internal world, our own minds are still fighting the civil war.

Corona, the end of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum
We are so used in America to seeing the world as a war of worlds, left against right, and it is a shock to see overnight that this bi-polarism is now dysfunctional. It used to have a function: it gave us identity. I’m blue, you are Red. I’m this and you are that. This defined that and that defined this.

We can see now as we wake up from the dream of a bi-polar world how silly it is. Blaming each other is absurd when a common enemy is approaching. Trying to find out who shot the arrow before you pull it out is absurd.

Before Corona, our identity and meaning were referenced to our political identity. The reference has suddenly shifted to Corona ad we, instead of being against each other are united in our resistance to Corona, now our common enemy.

That is why death is the great unifier. Death does not play politics.

The meditation we are working with here is that everything changes when your viewpoint changes. Before Corona, America was like tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, a divided mind that generated polarized view of everything that rises in the Media.

When something rises at home, like whether you go to a movie or stay home, or what the name of that movie star is, the event does not (I hope) polarize into a Left and Right Eye.

But when something rises on the Media, our Eye into the world, it immediately polarizes through our bi-polar lens. Each eye or viewpoint gets its meaning by not being the other viewpoint.

The Other defines us. Each of us says I am not That, I exist because I’m not that, and conflict with That creates validation of my polorized idenity.

Corona has changed that. Corona, althought we are trying to polorize it into political terms— blaming Obama or Trump, or China or whatver—
the bi-poloarism cannot hold. Blaming does not stop Corona. Corona is not a Red or Blue virus, or foreign. Corona is Corona.

Corona is the One that is two (red and blue)

The meditation we are working with here is that everything changes when your viewpoint changes. Before Corona, America was like tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, a divided mind that generated a polarized view of everything that rises in the Media.

Corona has changed that. Corona, although we are trying to polarize it into political terms— blaming Obama or Trump, or China or whatever—
the bi-polo=arism cannot hold. Blaming does not stop Corona. Corona is not a Red or Blue virus, or foreign. Corona is Corona.

Corona is the One that is two (red and blue)

Before Corona, the Red and the Blue were the Two fighting to be the One. The viewpoint of the Two that define themselves by not being the Other has shifted to the Two being the One at war with the One that is the Other of the Two.

Our religion and politics have merged in our bi-polar age. The Kingdom is the vision of the ONE where the two are in harmony like Fred and Ginger Rogers. But the religious and political identity exists because it is not the evil Other. The Right is right because it is not Left. The kingdom exists because it is not atheistic humanism. These two views become one view with a religious and political frame on the Right. For each, the Left was the Other that defined it.
