Continuing the talk from this morning about Wrong Turn Eddie, we look at why you can’t find wholeness and healing through effort to be right, or healed, or good, or at peace, or whatever you think you need to be complete. There is no Right without Wrong, so to chase Right is like a dog with a can of Wrongs tied to its tail. In our pursuit of Right we are hounded by Wrongs. Just when we think we have finally arrived at Right…Surprise, we are Wrong again. There may be a gap between the Right turning into Wrong, but be patient, it will turn. This pair dances together like Fred and Ginger Rogers.
If you find yourself split into a cycle of Right and Wrong, where the same emotional situation keeps recurring only with different content, the same pattern in different times and places, then you are caught in karma. The perfect Trap. The only way out is to choose the wrong way, embrace the wrong way joyfully. Choose you worst nightmare and ride it.
That is the only way to heal the wound of Right versus Wrong. Instead of avoiding Wrong, choose it. See what happens. Play with it. This is the Left Hand Path. When you choose your dark side, you becomes a full moon, a joyous moon because you are no longer chasing shadows. Now whatever you do is OK because you are already Right/Wrong. That is your original self before your parents Right and Wrong were born.
I am so thankful for the Happy Fault, this wound, this inconsistency in my lower nature (which my yoga teacher said I had), because it has been the grain of sand in my mind that has produced the pearl of wisdom. So whatever believe is your disadvantage, your fault, your unhappy fate, you wound…embrace it. Choose it. You suffering is not in the wound, in the thought, but in. your separation from yourself. That is the wound that cannot heal as long as you try to heal it. There is no wound unless you divide yourself and bleed. There is no original wound or sin that is your nature.
