I’m always amused when Liberals are put in an absolute category by Conservatives (or vice versa) —Liberal or Conservatives always do this wrong thing—with one category on one side of the door of Good and Evil while the other absolute category is on the other. The creates one of their revolving doors you see in a hotel.
When we divide the human world into absolute categories, good on one side, bad on the other, we create a revolving door of opposites values who can never come in or go out in the same direction. This is like a one way street with people going in opposite directions. One is going the wrong way, and it’s always the other guy. One is going good while the other is breaking bad. When one goes in while the other goes out, when you try to correct the other, no matter what you do, you are still going in while the other is going out. Round and around the revolving door of absolute politics go. When morality is the door to political values, the Revolving Door is always created and no one goes anywhere except to chase each other around the door.
