The Metaphorical Center Leader

June 29, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

We are all in the quest for our Center, that mystical heart from which our true voice speaks, that formless center from which our creativity flows, and from which our inner peace springs. But our center when taking the form of some created center, that center is conditioned. You Heart Center is unconditioned. That’s why its free. The freedom of the Unconditioned. You get to this center of the Cosmos by giving up, by letting go, one by one of your external centers, the forms to which you cling as your substituted center. You are not yet the Center of the World, King of the World.

In tonights talk I shared my Search for my Center, and I now rest as a Metaphorical Center Leader. I have created myself. I no longer try to fit in external centers or forms or recipes. The question is how can I be, how can you be, unique and still fit in? We have to fit in, or else we are not human. Being human is relationship. Fitting in is fitting into relationship. But yet…how can I be entirely Unique? Which means I don’t fit in. When you are unique you don’t fit anything, That is why you are unique. So how can I be unique and Not Unique both at the same time?

I can when I create myself as a metaphor that point at the same time to being Unique and not being unique. If you see me as just being another FB live talk, nothing special, that is OK. I’m not unique. But if you see or experience this talk as being special, then it is a metaphor, and the metaphor points to YOU. You are Special and Unique but not special and Unique both at the same time. But if you try to separate them, you can’t. But our society does. That’s why we never feel special and if we do we are judged as being a big ego.

So how do we thread this needle? You have to understand metaphor, and when you understand metaphor you understand ambiguity. You are both special and not special both at the same time. You are like a batter that holds this polarity, these two opposite poles together, and the generates the energy of the Center.

You are full of pride and joy and yet you are just two bottles on a shelf, nothing special.

We live in a metaphorical world. The world is just a sordid tale of sorrow, or the world is a hero’s tale of mystery and triumph. Is in one or the other? Watch the Life of Pi again. Is it a tale of the Boy with the Tiger, or just a sordid tale of canabalism : the boy with the cook? Are you a heroic person or just a average non-entity, a product on the shelf of life. Nothing special. The problem is that we are conditioned by our cultural logic so see one or the other. We can’t be special and not special at the same time; we have to choose. But is we choose, we are either a hypocrite thinking I’m special when I’m not, or I am not special when I am. We loose either way. The fault is on our logic, my friend, the logic of choice.
