Buddha Dharma is about the end or cessation of suffering or stress of the modern world. This Dharma is the antidote to the modern problem of al economic system that creates suffering in order for it to work. The Consumer Society needs hungry people; it needs people with a feeling of emptiness, a hole that needs to be filled with some product. And since no product can fill a hole in the soul, the next best product is going to be bought and tried. This is the economic engine we have built. We can’t remove it, we can’t remove this cause of suffering because the system is not the cause of suffering. Our suffering is not externally caused….BAM…that ends it.
It doesn’t matter what economic system you live in, communism, socialism, capitalism…none of them are the cause of suffering and injustice. This is the fallacy of the objective view that see everything externally as cause and effect. Externally there must be a cause of my suffering. Logically, from this view, if I remover the external cause, change the system, rebel and revolt, I will end suffering.
This is not the Transcendental Awareness of the Buddha Dharma. Life is ambiguous. Life is suffering. Life is unjust. Life is imbalanced. Life is duality. Perception sees in pairs-of-oppostes. Noahs’a Art. Everything comes in pairs on the universal boat. SEEING that grasps the gestalt, the whole at once is the TA of the Buddha. (I prefer Zen) .
This SEEING, however, cannot be attained. There is no means to the end of seeing. You can’t see in gradual steps. SEEING happens BAM all at once. Instantly there is a radical shift. Instantly, you have Insight that dims Outsight.
