OK, the is a fun metaphor. A martini is dry to wet according to the amount of vermouth: dry means a little vermouth, wet means more. Nixon created the republican martini when he added the vermouth of Mythological thinking or Story that was paranoid and say that some malevolent force or Other was out to get me. Up until Nixon, America was very Dry. Nixon added a little vermouth when he invited the Souther Dixicrats into the party with their Racial Mythology. Nixon was paranoid, you know.
And little by little the Republican kept adding more vermouth, more Story of Me to their Martin. When Trump came along, the addiction to Story of Me was thirsty for more, so Trump added a lot of vermouth, so much that he created a new reality of ME and those who invested in his Story of Me. Let me be your voice, he said.
No matter how much evidence is presented that exposes the illusion of the Story, its lack of factual base, the Wet Martini drinkers grew more convinced that their story was the real reality and those that checked its validity was the false reality. The Paranoia grew stronger the more martinis you drank.
Today, on Friday 13th, the second Mueller Shoo dropped. Now we have two feet on the ground and the drunken stagger of the Web Martini party’s forward movement has stopped. We hope. Now we have two firm feet on the ground to stand on.
What I’m talking about here is mythological thinking in which you live in your Story of Me. Trump for me is a personification of this Story Thinking, this magical thinking. And his popularity are with those who also invest in Story Thinking because it is Subjective Thinking as different from Objective Thinking. We are all a mix of the two, but Trump Thinking is outlined against out national sky because he is the President, the One Person of America. The First Person.
First Person Thinking is minus Third Person Thinking. Everything is First Person or ME. The agreed upon reality of Third Person is subject to First Person Reality. Libeal scientific materialism is Third Person Thinking, and it’s fault is its absence of value and First Person. But here’s the grammatical truth: there is no language without both First and Third Person thinking. One; one without the other creates a false reality. First Person without Third Person cannot be fact checked. Third Person without First Person has no center, no person at the center, no I AM…..
