The Lost Cup of Innocence is my baby cup that I just found and polished. When I got some teeth I bit, I guess to see if it was real silver. It was burden in the landfill of my adult mind, buried under the heavy load of memory and all the wrong turns I have made. But there it was, my Silver Cup given to me by my mother, I assume, to preserve that Philosopher’s Stone of childhood that still sees wonder and freshness in the old and dying world. It is this Silver Cup that renews the world like the Holy Grail. One drink from it and WOW…everything is new, like when you see something new for the first time. WOW!
The Silver Cup of Innocence just keeps the WOW going. So how do we find it? You would think we would all want to know. Any many of us do look for it in the landfill of life, but all we come upon and other’s people cups, new and old, fancy and cheap, and we take it home and say we have found it? Well all we got out of the was one WOW! the Wow you get when you find something, but the WOW doesn’t last. You go home and everything is old and tired and the landfill is back.
So I’m talking about the eternal timeless WOW! The WOW that keeps your mind fresh as a child’s so, while you body might age, your mind doesn’t age, and it is always creative and every young. That is the cup I want.
