I talked about alignment tonight, but I range like a wild bull, knowing no fences to my talk. Lets connect the dots. We’re talking about alignment and tonight is the Persian celebration of the longest night (winter solstice)—a Persian friend is coming over to officiate (we just eat some stuff)—but this is really a fighting back of the darkness and a refusal to give into the dark night of the unconscious.
Remember, consciousness in humanity is a small iland is the sea of darkness and the forces of the night are always on the move like the incoming tide. So we must hold back the night and the nights fragmentation and descent into chaos and anarchy. Of course, it gets interesting because the night always thinks it is light. But I don’t want to digress into politics.
We have to create a practice in our everyday life to hold back the night. Meditation, quiet time, walk in the park, scriptural study, mantra repetition, playing with your pet….all hold back the night.
The Light is not given, we have to discover the Light of Consciousness. When we relinquish our creativity, we give in to the darkness of conditioning. Light is a spark, an insight, an AHAH! I SEE. Light in Knowing that does not depend upon the darkness for its alignment. The Darkness is conditioning, and conditioning is the past or the known, what is stored in memory. But the Light is new, fresh and never seen before. We have to get in alignment with the light.
