Don’t hang from the Cross of Thought

April 3, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

Very good. Got the most initial views yet, 45. This talk has legs if you are interested in connecting the dots of the Christian symbols and truths to your everyday mind. What does Jesus and the Virgin has to do with stirring a martini? Well, that’s my everyday mind because I have a martini every day. But don’t forget I said I was a Martini Priest. But my authority is not in the Church, the Bible but in my everyday life. I am ordained by Everyday Life. That is my reference. I point to that when you ask by what authority I speak.

So this is a good talk if you want to be contemplate the idea of being free from obsessive thinking. What would it be like—not to stop thinking, that’s not what I’m saying—but to be free from its tyranny. When you are free from thinking, thinking becomes your friend. It’s like a well trained dog who is there when you need it, but it doesn’t pull you off the road when on a leash. It stays by your side as your trusted friend.
