Life is creativity, and it is imperative that we know how to activate the Creative Impulse. Zen is all about this. Satori is the activation fo the creative Impulse. When it is activated, you don’t know what it is going to do or be. That’s why it’s creative. One has to surrender the known, surrender plans, expectations, hope, and the need for certainty. It all goes in the toilet. I one speck or thought is held back, you don’t flush.
It is well documented that creativity happens when you give up. You can’t think of a name or word for a puzzle. The more you struggle, the far away it gets, and you can feel the tension mount. Then you just throw up your hands and drop it, but you don’t give up the intention to know what you are missing. You just drop the effort. Play some music, anything. And in that hole of surrender, the Creative Impulse is born.
The Creative Impulse is the Big Bang personalized as you. We are the Big Bang in bubble wrap.
