Okay, lets flush out some views here. This talk is too good for just 19 views. The Joy of Play is the joy of Life itself, and Life is play. Human life is a play of consciousness, creative consciousness that has no boundaries. Play has no boundaries. You and make play out of anything. Just ask a child, who is the Master of Play. Children are our Zen Masters. You can become enlightened by watching a child without cultural conditioning, which is judgment. Play and judgment are incompatible.
Play is the Great Liberation. Adult play is like childhood play but with a big difference. Children play with what’s given. Adult play creates new givens, no forms. Steve Jobs is brought up in the talk as an example of adult play. We don’t think outside the box: we play outside the box. When we play we touch God; we let God touch us. Play is the man and God touch each other. And like two positive charges, on in the ground and one in the clouds the lightening bolt fertilizes the earth with its electrical charge, and when bottled that power turns on our lights. Only play can turn on this light.
Why is play outside of the box? I think therefore I am, said DesCarte to set the table for our materialistic culture where thinking is the ground of our being, our center. But when you play are you thinking about what you are doing, weighing it, judging it, evaluating it to what people will think about your play? Thinking puts on you the periphery of your experience, the outside looking in. Thinking divides the mind into the Thinker and its thought. Play unifies the mind into the Player and the played. In play the player, the playing, and the play is One.
God plays in the world as the player and the played, so when we play we get in alignment with Cosmic Play.
