“True salvation is fulfillment, peace, life in all tis fullness. It is felt not as a passing experience but as an abiding presence. It is to be who you are, to feel within you the good that has no opposite, to experience the joy of Being that depends on nothing outside itself. ” Eckhart Tolle (from A New Earth)
After I stopped immersing myself in Tolle (full Baptism), I moved to Buddhism and Zen particularly, and now when I come back to Tolle Teaching its flower has opened even further. The “joy of Being that depends on nothing outside itself” in Zen is Prajna in the Heart Sutra. Prajna is the aroused mind that rests on no form. In Yoga it is Satchitananda. But these are all lofty words that are hard to bring down to the earth (the New Earth) of my everyday mind. But we all have insights.
The Joy of Being, Prajna, or Satchitananda (Knowing that is Being) in its everyday mind is just Insight. While these terms are big lights, Insight is flashbulb light, but it’s the same light of awareness that breaks through the mind’s dependence upon the known (what is outside of itself). Insight is Unity awareness that resolves dilemmas. Insight restores our conflicted mind to its original knowing, which is joyous.
