Flap your wings!

Flap your WingsFriday with ET: “The closer we get to the end of our present evolutionary stage, the more dysfunctional the ego becomes, in the same way that a caterpillar becomes dysfunctional just before it transforms into a butterfly. But the new consciousness is arising even as the old dissolves.” E. Tolle from A New Earth
_____________

Good morning…In light of the Church Shooting…can we see the dysfunction, not in any one incident but in the pattern. America has a collective ego and it is split into two irreconcilable differences or views, and the tension between these two halves of ME generates great energy that can go in two ways: the energy will go into self destructive violence OR into creativity and love. Violence is failed love. When there is the ambiguity of two contradictory imperatives where we must choose one or the other, but neither choice will restore the One, we can go mad. Suicide becomes a viable way out when there is No Exist.

The mass shooter who kills the Other and Himself is a failed attempt at achieving unity and the end to the existential pain of self division. Let there be One, says God and our Soul.

Today we are looking for our American Soul like the caterpillar looks for the butterfly. He weaves a cocoon so no one can see the magical transformation that happens in the dark in deep sleep. But when it awakes, it can suddenly fly. So under the cover of our pain and loss and the horror of indiscriminate slaughter an alchemist is at work in the dark. This death, this extraordinary pain is but the stretching of our wings.
