The Mother is Ambiguous

Today’s “Meditations on Eckhart Tolle” quote: “The only thing that ultimately. matters is this: Can I sense my essential Beingness, the I AM, in the background of my life at all times?”

Check out this great cartoon play on the ambiguity of Gestalt. The message here is the Mother Ambiguity projects ambiguity or duality on the screen of our mind to entertain the child (you/me) What we must have in life is surprise. We hate prison, solitary confinement because there is no surprise. Imagine a life without surprise. This was the curse of King Midas: he could not be surprise by gold anymore, because everything he touched turned to gold.

Ground Hog Day (the movie) was about living in a world with no surprise. So what created surprise. Ambiguity. Is it a duck or a rabbit? I only see the duck…Keep looking…OH! I see the duck. I’m surprised.

Awakening to the whole that includes the ambiguity is the surprise. Can you see the Old woman and the young woman? Keep looking…you will be surprised.

If everything were perfectly One, there would be no surprise, would there. That why the worse thing you can hear is “Everything is perfect.”…Oh, no it isn’t. …LOOK! There is a pile of poop on the floor. SURPRISE! (haha…it is plastic poop.)

But for a moment we didn’t know if the poop was real or not. The joke, the surprise is created out of ambiguity. There is a moment of disbelief…WAIT…what’s real here?

OH NO…the poop is real. HAHA the poop is fake.

The message is that life is. joke. Life is comedy. Life is Haha…because God is Ambiguous. The Mother is both real/fake. She comes in twos, the Goddess does. The shadow on the screen is both duck/rabbit. Mother Nature is ambiguous.

Life is entertainment because everything you believe in (It’s only a rabbit) is going. to turn into its own opposites and surprise you. HAHA…you thought you were alive and now you are dead. Surprise! On, conversely, you have been the walking dead, and now you are ALIVE! Awakening is always a surprise.

We are not alive or dead; We are alive/dead.

Okay, lets jump out here..The cause of suffering is un-transcended ambiguity. Ambiguity is suffering because in ambiguity we can’t choose, and choice is our freedom. The ability to choose this over that is power. Choice centers us and makes us ONE. Am am ONE and real because I can choose! I am because I Choose! When choice is impossible, which is what ambiguity means, there are three ways out of the suffering: (1) destroy the other half of the ambiguity, the Other), (2) find an authority or group/religion/herd that. chooses for you, (3) make the creative leap to a new order or Idea or way of being in a situation that includes both ones of the ambiguity. Instead of being innocent or guilty, one sees through and through that you are innocent/guilty simultaneously. Another word for this is humility, or surrender to the truth of Let There Be One.

We must be right in our choice; but when we transcend duality, we are right/wrong…not right or wrong. This is not a helpless realization, as one would think from the standpoint of having to choose. One doesn’t choose right/wrong. This is a spontaneous realization that creates the I AM ONE….or as the Buddha said in his cosmic affirmation: “Throughout heaven and earth I alone am the most honored ONE.” This ONE is when you See your you are innocent/guilty. You accept the ambiguity of life and consciousness. An in accepting that you can choose your way out of suffering, you transcend suffering. The SEEING that. you are two in One, is being the ONE….which is the SEEING. SEEING is One, not two, but what you see is always ambiguous, and either/ or, this or that.

So what’s the message here? This is I turn to Zen…SEEING restores unity to ambiguity, or the Koan of Life. Seeing is whole mind, and whole mind sees that it is a yin/yang and it is okay with that. No stress, no mess. Stress is not being okay with ambiguity. Being Okay with ambiguity is the conditions necessary for a creative Idea. The creative idea restores unity and removes the suffering of ambiguity, which is not being to choose the Unity, to restore reality to the One. But, of course, this restoration is never permanent because reality is…ambiguous and is a continuous creative act or evolution. We think that Creation happened in the past…no…Creation is the Now. We are the ongoing Big Bang of expanding unity and expanding destruction. Reality is death/life..not death or life.
